Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!

We hope and pray that you have now had the opportunity to read about so many of Chuck-JOHNEL's experiences with Jesus and His Angel (sometimes many Angels) in the Jesus, His Angel & Me books and on this website.  It is important now to look back on Chuck-JOHNEL's experiences with Jesus over the years.  It is also important to take a moment to begin to look forward (remembering all that Jesus taught Chuck-JOHNEL over the years and all that Chuck-JOHNEL, in turn, taught so many of us.  It is time to begin to take steps to walk on with Jesus.

In a lot of  ways, The Staff and The Sword Ministry and the Net of Prayer really began all those years ago back in 1971, when Chuck-JOHNEL attended a men's retreat at May's Lake Monastery in Oak Brook, Illinois near Chicago.  During the retreat, Jesus knocked on the door to Chuck-JOHNEL's heart.  It was then, in spite of the mounds of sin before him, that Chuck-JOHNEL said, "YES!" to Jesus and let Him into his heart.  There was no turning back after that.  Chuck-JOHNEL wrote about the experience in some detail in the Prologue of Jesus, His Angel & Me (Vol. 1).

From that time on, God would show Chuck-JOHNEL many, many events yet to come and even give him His Word by an Angel of God.  The foundations of Chuck-JOHNEL's life and of The Staff and The Sword Ministry and the Net of Prayer would eventually arise out of all those experiences.  All this was evidenced as a deep and ever-abiding love for God within Chuck-JOHNEL.  It was a love that could only come from God.

In those early years, Jesus called Chuck-JOHNEL to go out and share the things that God had shown him and to call the Church and the nation to pray. Chuck-JOHNEL did just as God asked him. Two such examples are when Jesus asked him to go out on the Three-Day Walk through Chicago and the Thirty-Day Journey to Washington, DC. Some of Chuck-JOHNEL’s experiences on the Thirty-Day Journey are included in The April 21, 1977 Word and Revelation, Executive
Mansion and The Capitol Steps: Good Friday Prophecy are included in Jesus, His Angel & Me (Vol. 2): In The Spirit and on this website.

On the Thirty-Day Journey, he met many Christians who shared his
love of God. He wrote about one such Christian in Classy Philly Nun in Jesus, His Angel & Me (Vol. 2):  In The Spirit.  Some are also included in this website. Yet, as Chuck-JOHNEL continued to share the things of God in those early years and beyond, he was quickly met with some considerable resistance and attacks. That happened especially if things did not happen exactly as the Church and its leaders expected.

It eventually got to the point where Chuck-JOHNEL would come to question Jesus about that. So, he prayed and asked Jesus why He was sending him out only to be met with hostility and rejection. Chuck-JOHNEL asked Jesus what was going on and Jesus directed him to read Ezekiel 2, where God spoke to the Prophet Ezekiel saying, “Son of Man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day. For they are impudent children and stiff-hearted. I do send thee unto them and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God. And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall they know that there hath been a prophet among them. And thou, son of man, be not afraid if them, neither be afraid of their words, though briars and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee: Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open they mouth, and eat what I give thee” [Ezekiel 2:3b-8]. Chuck-JOHNEL wrote more about
this experience in “Read Ezekiel 2” in Jesus, His Angel & Me (Vol. 1): In The Spirit.

And so, for the love of God and with a love that God gave him for His People (even if they were rebellious), Chuck-JOHNEL worked tirelessly, and often at great expense to himself personally, to be faithful to do all Jesus asked of him. Yes, there were times when he fussed with the Lord and wanted out from under the attacks and rejection that were seemingly aimed directly at him—although such attacks were ultimately aimed at Jesus. But, when Jesus told Chuck-JOHNEL that only he could do this Ministry work and that if he did not do it, then the work would not get done and, as a result, multitudes would perish, then he could not say “No” to Jesus. Chuck-JOHNEL loved Jesus so much that he literally laid down his life to serve Jesus
with his all—with absolutely everything he had!

Likewise, when the Net of Prayer was formed, people would ask about Church denominations and if certain Believers should be allowed to be a member of the Net of Prayer or not, Chuck-JOHNEL’s reply was always, “Do they love Jesus?” If the answer was “Yes” then the Believer was in. Jesus’ love trumps everything! Chuck-JOHNEL would often say that nothing should stand in the way of loving Jesus and of loving one another in Jesus’ love. That is the foundation of the Net of Prayer and of this Ministry. Jesus is the rock upon which it stands [Psalm 18:2].

Chuck-JOHNEL was not a perfect man. None of us are perfect.  But, that is exactly the point. Only Jesus is perfect! Yet, throughJesus, we can be counted as perfect. This is especially true as we abide in (that is, live and remain in) God’s Perfect love. And, in that sense, Chuck-JOHNEL was and is perfect.

One of the main commissions given to Chuck-JOHNEL by God was to lay down the foundation stones for Jesus’ Return. Chuck-JOHNEL wrote about that in Ministry newsletters and in Jesus, His Angel & Me (Vol 2): In The Spirit).  In that book, for example, in God’s Word, Call, and Commissions and in December 14, 1981: Jesus Comes!!! Jesus told Chuck-JOHNEL on September 3, 1979, “YOU ARE NEARLY AS AN ELISHA, BUT YOUR ANOINTINGIS GREATER, YOUR ANOINTING IS LIKE UNTO MOSES, INSOME PART LESS, IN SOME PART GREATER, AS HE [Moses] LAID DOWN FOUNDATION STONES FOR MY SON’S COMING, SO ARE YOU LAYING DOWN FOUNDATION STONES FOR MY SON’S RETURN.”

Yet, Chuck-JOHNEL knew, by the Spirit of God, that he would not live to see Jesus’ Return, but that he would come back with the Saints when that day arises.

So, just what are these foundation stones?

Well, the answer lies in another Word that Chuck-JOHNEL received. In that Word, Jesus showed him that His Return is not predicated on events and judgments happening in the past, the present, or the future. Rather, Jesus’ Return is predicated on whether there
would be hearts ready and prepared in God’s People for His Return.

In other words, would there be room in the hearts of His professing Believers for Jesus to come and abide in, to dwell in?  As a part of Jesus’ Second Coming, He wants to come and  manifest in His People. These People (those with hearts prepared for Jesus to occupy) are those foundation stones of Jesus’ Return. These
would love Jesus just as Jesus loved them! As it says in 1 Peter, “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a Holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ” [1Peter 2:5].

The Staff and The Sword Ministry and the Net of Prayer together are the Spiritual house who, even now, seeks to be among those that will be counted as the “lively stones” as written in 1 Peter 2:5.

Chuck-JOHNEL always knew that the prayer warriors that comprised the Net of Prayer over the years were not the only intercessors praying and following Jesus. He knew that there were many other intercessors and prayer warriors that Jesus had joined to us all these past years since Chuck-JOHNEL first began working in this Ministry for Jesus.  All these intercessors and prayer warriors have been looking to Jesus, seeking to be like Jesus, and moving by the Spirit of God under Jesus’ direction. And, all are seeking to be counted as “lively stones” and follow Jesus.

It is Chuck-JOHNEL’s legacy (his Testament) of his love and relationship with God and Jesus Christ that has paved the way and laid down the foundation in this Ministry upon which the Spirit of God can continue to build through those of us remaining in this Ministry.  Just because Chuck-JOHNEL has passed on and is now with Jesus, it does not mean that his work in Christ here on earth has come to an end. No, indeed! There remains a lot of work for the Net of Prayer to do—work that Chuck-JOHNEL had only started to do. There is work can yet bring forth even more fruit, as the Spirit of God gives the increase [John 12:24].

Taken together, Jesus, His Angel & Me (Volume1) and Jesus, His Angel & Me (Volume 2): In The Spirit are a Testament to Chuck-JOHNEL’s life-long work with and for Jesus. This was confirmed by Net of Prayer intercessors. One Net of Prayer intercessor was directed by the Spirit of God to read Hebrews 9, where it written, “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator is living” [Hebrews 9:16-17]. Another Prophet in this Ministry was given a Word from Jesus that said, in part, “THESE BOOKS CALLED JESUS, HIS ANGEL & ME GIVE MY WORD AND ARE A TESTAMENT. THEY ARE A TESTAMENT OF JOHNEL’S WHOLE BODY OF WORK IN ME AND FOR ME.
THEY ARE ALSO MY TESTAMENT.”

Among the many tasks that Father God and Jesus had Chuck-JOHNEL do, one tremendous task was to stand in the Gap for this nation. This refers to what the Prophet Ezekiel wrote, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it” [Ezekiel
22:30a].

As a part of that work, Chuck-JOHNEL would spend years calling the Church to pray and to join him in standing in the Gap for the nation. During the 1970s, Jesus told Chuck-JOHNEL any number of times, “I HAVE MADE YOU TO STAND IN THE GAP FOR THIS NATION.” He wrote about many of those experiences in Jesus, His Angel & Me (Vol. 1). The Gap is actually and very literally a place In The Spirit which resembles a valley (the Gap) in between two impassible mountains. The demons from hell would have to pass through this valley (the Gap) in order to enter into this nation In This World. If the demons were stopped and destroyed there, then they could not enter In This World. However, once the demons do manage to get through, then they are very hard to get rid of—they spread throughout the land and the nation and become
entrenched in its people.

This can be likened to a faucet that is turned on and water is pouring out from it. The water is going all over the place and cleanup is impossible until the faucet is turned off. Never let the faucet run unattended and then there is no problem as you can control what comes out. But, if the faucet is left running unattended and the water is flowing, then the obvious thing to do is to stop the water at its
source. Turn the water off and the clean-up can begin.

Many battles—fierce, awful battles—have been fought in the Gap In The Spirit over the years in attempts to prevent the demon hoards from coming through In This World. However, in the end, we were never able to get enough Christians to join us in prayer-warfare (Chuck-JOHNEL called this Strategic Spiritual Warfare) to prevent the enemy from breaking through. At one point, we even managed to cover all except for two-percent of the Gap. But, that small percentage was just enough for the enemy to get a foothold and push us back.

Lastly, we had to stand aside from the Gap and Jesus led us out of the Gap altogether. During one of the last battles that we were involved in led directly to the Beastman of antiChrist coming through the Gap leading a demonic army out of hell. Due to rejection of God’s call to pray an engage in Strategic Spiritual Warfare, Chuck-JOHNEL’s work was done in regards to the Gap.

In further decisions, by the Church as a whole, in the years following those battle In The Spirit, each time the Church rejected Jesus and His call to prayer, then each time Chuck-JOHNEL and the Net of Prayer had to stand aside of this nation and allow the judgments to come through. The decision was made over and over again. Chuck- JOHNEL explained this is detail in Jesus, His Angel & Me (Vol. 2): In The Spirit in Decision and in
December 14, 1981: Jesus Comes!!!

And sadly, the consequences of
those Church decisions are even now playing out right before our eyes in the news reports that we see and hear every day. These events show clearly how the demon hoards have invaded this nation and how that invasion seems to be endless. This has, also very sadly, culminated in Chuck-JOHNEL going home to be with Jesus in this very time. He had been told by Jesus as far back as 1981, “AND IF THOSE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL NOT OBEY ME, THEN WILL I TAKE YOU HOME.”

Yet, the very good news is that, when we are in Christ Jesus, the demons have no power over us, irrespective of Church decisions.  Despite what the enemy of our souls would have us believe, God is in control. God is watching. And, God has a plan. And, this Ministry to going to continue to pray and follow Jesus, preparing as He so leads in preparing the foundation stones for His Return.

We and all the intercessors in the Net of Prayer pray that you have found the experiences shared by Chuck-JOHNEL in the Jesus, His Angel & Me books and on this website to be an inspiration to your own Christian walk with Jesus. We pray that you have witnessed the love of God for all His People while reading the Jesus, His Ange & Me books and the articles on this web site. We pray that you have witnessed how much Chuck-JOHNEL loved Jesus and God’s People. We also pray that perhaps you and many other Believers would pray along with us for a People to be prepared to welcome Jesus when He comes—to be counted among those “lively stones” [1 Peter 2:5]. And even more, we pray that you might walk on with us in praying to lay down the foundation stones for Jesus Return.

Come Lord Jesus!

For it is just as Jesus said, “So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only . . . . Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the Goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son
of man cometh” [Matthew 25:33-36, 42-44].

And so, as we look back and also walk on with Jesus, we are now reminded of a grainy old black-and-white photograph of Chuck-JOHNEL taken on March 12, 1977 as Chuck-JOHNEL both looked back and began walking on with The Staff during the Thirty-Day Journey to Washington, DC. We remember Chuck-JOHNEL as shown here with fondness and love.  That old grainy photograph is below:
